Inquiry-based learning is on the rise in internationally as well as domestically in education and science. Recent technological creations have caused this rise as it allows for an inquiry process to occur. Many works of literature are unable to combine all of the phases in the inquiry cycle into writing, hence the creation of inquiry-based learning, which does just this. The five phases of inquiry include: orientation, conceptualization, investigation, conclusion, and discussion. Both the conceptualization and discussion phases have 2 sub phases while the investigation phase has 3. These phases flow seamlessly with endless possibilities when inquiry-based learning is applied (Pedaste, 2015).
