Final Reflection

When I first was assigned to create a blog for EME 2040 I was nervous about how difficult it would be. I had never created a blog so I was completely new to the concept. However, I found it to be a surprisingly simple process and it is an interesting way to document your work or life in one easy to find spot.

I learned many interesting ways to use technology to capture an audiences attention. Whether I use these techniques in my career as a teacher, or in my personal life, it was interesting to learn how to use technology in creative ways. I was surprised at how simple technology is to use in terms of making videos, when the outcome is so professional looking.

I was intimidated to enroll in this class initially because of my lack of knowledge about technology. But I can say that this class has been very beneficial in releasing me from this fear. For example, I found that the whiteboard explainer videos that I have seen countless times to be fairly easy to make. Having the ability to create one of these for myself is a fun alternative to finding a video that addresses all of the things I would like it to in a sufficient manner.

I had the most trouble with figuring out how to post videos to my blog. However, through the combination of multiple techniques such as screen casting and uploading videos to YouTube, I was able to work around my technical problems to make it work for me.

I will most remember my creation of my Adobe Spark video because I plan to use Adobe Spark in the future it to promote a volunteer opportunity that I work closely with. I very much enjoyed the format and easy to use access of Adobe Spark.
